Inspiration is all around us.
I personally seek inspiration through many outlets and platforms. I always try to keep an open mind and to be conscious of my surroundings whenever I travel. You never know what you’ll discover.
Sometimes it is specific to the subject of Floral Design and other times it is an abstract concept that I am able to apply to my designs.
This past weekend I traveled to my home state of Connecticut and visited Terrain, which is located in the coastal town of Westport. Terrain has a beautiful aesthetic that is inviting and warm. They specialize in all things outdoors – and consistently capture a lovely blend of Home and Garden.
Think of this place as an elevated nursery, that is full of elegant finds and wonder. Beyond the landscape, they also feature kitchen décor, books, an artisan food selection, as well as personal care/beauty items and light fashions – including hats, scarves, gloves, and jewelry.
They have seven locations – 4 East Coast and 3 West Coast
Here are some of my recent finds that inspired visual interest in color palettes, textures and pattern.
Enjoy! xo Klair
